Jessica Voight - President

The president maintains communication with the county medical societies, helps organize chapter events, runs chapter meetings and assists in chapter recruitment. In addition, the president is part of the MMA-Medical Student Section board which preserves communication between the three Minnesota medical schools. Wade Swenson - Vice President

The vice president assists the president in organizing chapter events, and plans the annual Residency Fair. At this early October event, residency programs from around the five state area are invited to present their programs to students here at the U.

Officers Under Oversight of President

Communications - Peter Ragusa: The primary job of the communications chair is to keep the chapter members up to date on local, regional and national issues. This is accomplished by email and maintenance of the chapter website. To contact the Communications chair, please email Peter Ragusa at ragu0014@umn.edu.

Co -Treasurers - Elizabeth Vogel: The treasurer is in charge of keeping the financial records for the chapter. The chapter treasurer is involved in planning chapter fundraising and pursuing foundation grants. For more information, please feel free to email Elizabeth at voge0132@umn.edu.

Lunch Lecture Coordinator - The local AMA-MSS chapter holds regular lunch lectures for medical students in topics as diverse as the value of medical organizations and the problem of the uninsured in the US.

Recruitment - In order to best represent U of M medical students at the local, state and national levels, our AMA-MSS branch needs as many student members as possible. By holding a recruitment picnic for first-year medical students and recruitment lunch lectures, we hope to raise membership levels.

Student Council Representative - The Student Council representative coordinates our group's activities with the rest of the med school, presenting any of our needs or issues to the Council, and updating the chapter with any pertinent information that comes up at the Student Council meetings.
