Welcome to the Minnesota Chapter of Alpha Omega Alpha (AWA) Honor Medical Society at the University of Minnesota.

Mission: to promote scholarship and research at the University of Minnesota medical school, to encourage a high standard of character and conduct among medical students and graduates, and to recognize high attainment in medical science, practice and related fields.


AWA: The name Alpha Omega Alpha is derived from the three Greek letters AWA, which are the initials of the essential Greek words in this organizations motto: "Worthy to Serve the Suffering".
