Annual Events

MAFP Residency Luau:

Are you a medical student interested in family medicine? Do you have questions about residency? Or are you just unsure of what your next step should be? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you should attend the MAFP Residency Recruitment Luau. This free, fun, event is designed to provide medical students with all the information they need to choose the perfect residency program.

There will be a short education session with topics that include: what residency programs look for in students, the timeline students should follow when applying for residency programs, financial planning, what students should look for when choosing a residency, getting ready for your interview, and opportunities beyond the residency program.


National Conference:
Family medicine leaders and educators come together once a year to share their experiences with students and family medicine residents from across the nation.

Learn from a world of experience.

  • Gain exposure to clinical content.
  • Meet with residency programs from around the nation (more than 300).
  • Develop your leadership skills.
