The answer is E: all of the above.  Yes, friends, a large proportion of your patients are going to be depressed, anxious, chemically dependent, etc. and that’s even before they get their bill.  Psych will play an important role in virtually any specialty you choose.  Before then, you’ll see it on both the Step 1 and Step 2 board exams, and you’ll be required to complete rotations in both psychiatry and neurology.  So, what’s my point?

 SNAP is a group which exists for medical students from all years.  Its purpose is to help students explore psychiatry as a career option and to give students destined for other disciplines a chance to learn more about psychiatric practice and its underlying knowledge base.

SNAP has been meeting about once each semester.  Dinner will be served and there will be a scheduled activity.  Activities may include:
