The WHS is an Academic Health Center-sponsored, co-curricular club designed to expose health professional students to the wilder side of health care. We do not discriminate against any type of outdoor enthusiasts, as long as it is fun yet promotes the skills and values of medicine in the wild.
We are a student chapter of the national organization Wilderness Medical Society (www.wms.org - check this site out and find our lots of great info on courses, conferences, journals, etc.).
We are VERY open to suggestions - WHS is driven primarily by the interests of the students in the group. Past years have seen trips of kayaking, canoeing, mountain biking, hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, and winter camping.
Get your name on our email list TODAY! But, better yet, plan events with your friends and email Katie to help plan and sponsor it. Catchya on the flip side!
